Problem: Changing programs that run at startup on windows 98

An easy way to stop programs running at startup from windows 98 is to use the MS configuration program (MSCONFIG.EXE)
To run it you can click on start | run
Then key MSCONFIG.EXE and click OK.
On the dialog box that opens, click on the startup tab.
I would check the startup tab first.
You uncheck anything you don't want to run.
Put a check next to anything you do want to run.
Click OK or Apply.
